Tenbury Sheep Sale

15 October 2016

A total entry of 2413 sheep were forward at the sheep sale last saturday. There was a very good turnout of buyers in all sections and only two rams failed to find a new home.  2031 store and ewe lambs were on offer which met with yet another terrific trade with all types in demand including the stronger lambs despite the weaker slaughter trade. A small entry of 155 second quality ewes met a fast trade and far more could have been sold.  There was a flying cull and grazing trade with prices over £10 per head up on sales locally with seven buyers in attendance.  A mixed bag of rams met a very solid trade for the better quality types.
