TENBURY OCTOBER SHEEP SALE

11 October 2014

Nick Champion Auctioneer of Tenbury Wells, reports that 2066 store sheep were forward at the third autumn sale held on The Show Field, Burford, Tenbury Wells on 11th October 2014.  Trade for the store lambs was much improved with several  new buyers in attendance, whilst the ewe lambs all met with a ready demand even though prices are lower than a month ago.

A small entry of breeding ewes and rams also met with a very strong trade on the ewes with prices showing an improvement, whilst the rams were of variable quality and met a more selective trade.

A good entry of cull ewes and grazing sheep also met a firm demand with grazing ewes dearer and fresh faces ringside.
